Located in the rural town of Roxbury Connecticut is an old dairy barn that was recently converted into a three-bedroom house. With over 7,000 square feet, the space is filled with amazing details like a circular sofa built around a white plaster hearth, a pizza oven, heated tile floors, and tons of light and open space. Via Honestly, WTF: Though her daring color combinations may not satisfy everyone’s tastes, interior designer May Daouk‘s Beirut home is undeniably stunning and extraordinary. The high-beamed ceilings, traditional arches, and contemporary twists to Middle Eastern elements make this single story, 19th century villa a true work of art.

A crumbling and deteriorating 18th-century flat in the middle of Barcelona has found new life in the hands of architect Benedetta Tagliabue. Tagliabue has allowed the history and original structure of the house to inspire his designs without creating a single sketch or model. Most of the rooms in the house are situated around a center patio which creates plenty of natural light.  The diagonal paths of colorful Andalusian tile throughout each room (see baldosa hidráulica) are an interpretation of the suns rays . And during the remodeling process, beautiful 18th century decorative murals were discovered after peeling away some of the walls. (via Honestly, WTF)

Internationally recognized graffiti artist Tilt has just completed this eye-popping interior design work for the Au Vieux Panier hotel in Marseille, France. The hotel has just five rooms that are annually reconceptualized by commissioned artists and designers, somewhat similar to NYC’s Carlton Arms. For this space entitled Panic Room(which might aptly describe your mental state after a few nights in this Willy Wonkaesque environment) Tilt divided the room perfectly down the middle, one half covered entirely in his trademark vibrant and bubbly graffiti and the other half left stark white. See a sneak peek of all five concepts at Au Vieux Panier, including a room by Philippe Baudelocque who draws fantastic illustrations of animals using chalk.
